Podcasts are episodic series of digital audio files. A user can listen online, or subscribe so that new episodes are automatically downloaded via web syndication to the user’s own local computer, mobile application, or portable media player.

Christianity has embraced podcasting, and there are many different Christian podcasts that can enhance widespread of the gospel. Podcasting is helping to fulfill the end time preparation for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ as the gospel must be preached to everyone across the globe. With Christian podcasts, collations of preachers or teaching series are available for download at a cheap cost (or no cost).

Christian podcasts have brought about an online revolution and revival, touching lives everywhere with the ease of it. Your church doesn’t have to be the one down the street—it can be any church you choose, even if you never set foot inside the actual building. You can simply download the podcast of any church of your choice—or any preacher of your choice—and listen to it on your phone, laptop, MP3 or tablet device. This gives you control on your own schedule.

What Makes a Good Podcast?

Though a Christian podcast cannot replace worshipping with the assembly of believers, it can bring bread from the communion table closer in such a way that there won’t be any justification of non-compliance. “But the word [is] very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it” – Deuteronomy 30:14 (NKJV).

Some other factors that help make effective Christian podcasts are:
• Size: a smaller or compressed file size of a message, song, or audio file makes it easier, convenient and saves space on phones or other storage devices.
• Price: free podcasts always receive attention.
• Duration: length of the message also affects the number of listeners
