In anticipation of the spring season, I’m planning my garden and flower beds; I’ve been thinking about how all we do is plant the seeds, weed, and water and how God creates the beautiful flowers.

Matt. 13:3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; 4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: 5 Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: 6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. 7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them: 8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.

As this passage states we are the sowers and have no control over the condition of the soil all we are instructed to do is plant the seeds.

Even if the soil appears trodden down, stony, thorny or good ground, we are instructed to sow the Word of God.

Don’t be discouraged because you feel as if the Word is thrown by the wayside and the lies of the enemy have taken root in their hearts. Don’t be discouraged because you feel as if the Word has fallen among the rocks and have been scorched by the sun of rootlessness or among the thorns of the cares of this life.

As 1 Cor. 3:6-7 states God giveth the increase.

1 Cor. 3:6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

We can’t make people accept the love, forgiveness, salvation, peace, joy, deliverance, restoration and contentment Jesus is offering all we can do is plant the seeds, water with our tears of intercession and weed by attacking the lies of the enemy by the Word of God.

And keep praying for the increase.

Keep believing for the increase in our communities, Bible studies, ministries, Sunday School classes and our city.

God is going to give us a beautiful harvest of souls this year.
