WRITE THE VISION

Herein is the Mission Statement and Vision for Christ Temple Apostolic Church as is given by The Chief Visionary ( The Lord Jesus Christ) to the Staff Visionary( Pastor Nevels) for implementation and execution.

ADVANCING THE KINGDOM OF GOD IN OUR WORLD

is our mission statement. A mission statement differs from a vision in that it expresses what we are about, why we exist, and what it is that we do. I have expressed our mission in these eight words.

The mission statement is a declaration of our intent, and purpose. I am convinced that the church’s reason for existing in the world is to ADVANCE THE KINGDOM OF GOD IN OUR WORLD, by any means He makes available to us. We are to pray that His Kingdom come and for His Will to be done in earth as it is in heaven.

The Ministry VISION is a timeless, and immeasurable declaration of how the mission statement is manifested. Therefore, our vision is “MAKING THESE 71/2 ACRES GOD’S CORNER IN THE KINGDOM”. God gave us this land, like He did the children of Israel, to possess it and make it the place of His rule. I believe He has given us this land to develop for His glory. He will help us to fulfill His will and advance His kingdom.

Remember, the kingdom of God is not meat and drink–it is not material, but rather, spiritual; righteousness, peace, and joy in the HOLY GHOST. Romans 14:17. This is the ultimate way for us to make these acres God’s corner in the kingdom–His righteousness rules; His peace abides, and His joy flows.

READ THE VISION

In order to fulfill the vision God has given, we need to have some measurable goals. Goals are dated and measurable manifestations of the vision. They put the vision into some practical form. How can we make what goes on here joyful, peaceful, and righteous? By preaching, teaching, and practicing the attitudes and principles of the kingdom; Matthew 5:1-7:29 and 28:16-20. By feeding the hungry and clothing the naked; by ministering to those in prison, the homeless, hospitals, and the unreached. These are Biblically-based goals for our congregation. To achieve these goals we will continue our weekly Sunday Celebrations (worship services) which provide opportunities for saints to pray, worship, grow, and fellowship together, our weekly Faith Builders Bible Study will allow times to study God’s Word, and the King’s Kids will meet to minister to our children; we will provide food through the SHARE program monthly over the next year for the community and for those in need. These are measurable goals. We will continue our prison ministry at Lorain Correctional Institution through volunteers on Sundays and the Angel Tree program through the Sunday Academy. We will continue to reach others who may not attend our services through WORLD-WIDE WITNESS on cable t.v.

Some other goals for this year are; planning the I celebration of the payoff of our church mortgage. I During the months of May and June we will I celebrate this great God-given achievement.

This year also marks the twentieth (20) pastoral year for Elder and Sister Nevels. Some way we want to thank God for His faithfulness and their stewardship in this portion of the vineyard by commemorating the accomplishment of this congregation under their leadership. By the help of God, cooperative effort, and hard work this year promises to be a banner year for the glory of God and the blessing of the body of Christ.

CATCH THE VISION

Now it is time to Catch the Vision! For the past four months we have been praying and fasting that ALL member would be overshadowed by the Spirit of God and have the vision conceptualized in their hearts. Once this happens it is just a matter of time for the vision to become a reality. Here are some practical ways for members to Catch the Vision. Every MEMBER is to be involved in Ministry !!!

We need your spiritual and physical support with the

CHURCH CELEBRATION COMMITTEE to plan and implement the mortgage payoff

ANNUAL UPPER ROOM REVIVAL in conjunction with church celebration birthing ministries into existence

PASTORAL APPRECIATION showing love to the undershepherd and wife

SHARE NORTHERN OHIO PROGRAM feeding the hungry

WORLD-WIDE WITNESS outreach ministry through mass media

PRISON MINISTRY reaching men and women behind bars

PERFECTING THE SAINTS equipping saints for service, using spiritual gifts

MAKING FULL PROOF OF MINISTRY more efficient and effective use of human and material resources; fine-tuning our operation

Find an area where God can use you and let us know that you are willing to work. If you need, suggest one for yourself.

RUN WITH THE VISION

Time is of the essence, whatever you do, do it with haste. We have four(4) to five (5) months until May-June, the time we want to start the celebration. It is important that everyone get started right away. We will need everyone’s cooperation and assistance. Be a doer of the word, and RUN WITH THE VISION. Let it be known where you will work, what you will do and the fact that we can count on YOU!!

Church Celebration Committee meetings will be held on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays at from 7 to 8:30

Remember the Spiritual check-ups held the third week of each month. The schedule for the next four months is as follows:

February 17-19, Dr. Charles Smith, Marion
March 17-19, to tee announced
April 21-23, Dr. Moses Butler, Columbus
May 19-23, Upper-Room Revival
June 12-15, Church Celebration, Bishop Bowers Friday, June 13

We need some saints to help with publicity. We need the Ministry of Helps to step up and RUN WITH THE VISION May God bless this that He has
given us to do and may every member be a blessing as together we
ADVANCE THE KINGDOM OF GOD IN OUR WORLD, BY MAKING THESE 71/2 ACRES
“GOD’S CORNER IN THE KINGDOM”.
