The Password to Victory (Newsletter 3-7)

The Password to Victory by Rick Hughes

I am experiencing password overload. Every device, every program, every app requires a password. Password security is of great importance so hackers do not guess a person’s password and hack that person’s information. This requires the user to create passwords difficult to guess, which also makes them difficult to remember! (How well I know this!)

A password is defined as a secret word or expression used by authorized persons to prove their right to access information, resources, etc.; a word or other string of characters, sometimes kept secret or confidential, that must be supplied by a user to gain full or partial access to a system or its resources. Passwords either allow or restrict access to valuable information and resources.

Some time ago on a Saturday night during prayer meeting I did NOT have the victory. I was troubled, discouraged and overwhelmed as I was making my requests known to God. It seemed as though every request was a near impossible situation. The longer I prayed, the worse I felt. Then God ‘interrupted’ my prayer with a word … the password to victory! God impressed me with one single word that always results in victory. This one word (password) allows access to every aspect of God’s nature and power and grants permission to experience victory in Jesus! This one word, the password- to victory is … GREATER God is greater than anything you face, anything you feel, anything you fear, anyone or anything that challenges you, any power that tempts you, any spirit that tries to torment you. One simple seven-digit word. GREATER. God is GREATER than (you fill in the blank)! Daily use of this password allows access to the unlimited power and resources of Jesus Christ, and will change your identity as well! The best news about this password is God gave me permission to share this password with everyone: there is no reason to fear if someone discovers the password to victory!

Greater in the Greek language is megas (meg’as); big, and is translated in the KJV as exceedingly, great (-est), high, large, loud, mighty, strong. Our God is bigger, higher, larger, louder, mightier, and stronger than anything or anyone else! John wrote in 1 John 4:4: “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” The internal power is greater than the external pressures a person may face, resulting in that person being an overcomer, because God is GREATER Paul wrote of this phenomenon in Romans 8:31: “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” The Message Bible renders this verse as follows: “So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose?” If God is on your side, you have the advantage, because God is GREATER.

Elijah knew the password to victory when he faced off with the 850 false prophets (450 of Baal plus 400 of the grove) and it resulted in fire falling from Heaven and revival in the land. Elijah’s God was GREATER than all the false prophets he withstood. Gideon knew the password to victory when he faced off with the 200,000 man army of the Midianites and it resulted in Gideon’s men not having to fight as the Midianites eliminated one another. Gideon’s God was GREATER than the hundreds of thousands of the Midianite army!

God has empowered me to ‘leak’ the password to victory so all may access His database and resources. The only password you must never forget is GREATER, because it opens the door to Victory! (Make sure you write this password down so you never forget it!)
