Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and [with] fire:
II Corinthians 1:18-22 But [as] God [is] true, our word toward you was not yea and nay. For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was Preached among you by us, [even] by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea. For all the promises of God in him [are] yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. Now he which establishes us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, [is] God; Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
He could swear by no greater… so he swore by himself!
Our God Is An Awesome God! — one reason = He always keeps his word!
Titus 1:1-3 Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness; In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Savior;
God Simply Declares Himself As He Is! (receive it or not ) GEN. 1:1
Accept the declaration, then begins revelation of God! He Can’t Lie!
And He Promised! Manifested in preaching!

We Dissect Another Angle Today: — Is the H.G. infilling a Bible Promise?

Last week we realized the H.G. is the Spirit of the Living God!
In the O.T. it was described as: “moving on” something.
II Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake [as they were] moved by the Holy Ghost.
O.T. people experienced the “moving on” of God, but not the Moving In! (this is promised to the church age )
Only a few experienced the H.G. before the Day of Pentecost. ( John the Baptist; his Parents )
Luke 1:15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother’s womb.
Luke 1:41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:
Luke 1:67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost,a nd prophesied, saying, Blessed [be] the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,
O.T. Prophets spoke of a NEW MANIFESTATION that would come…God’s Spirit Available To All Who Desire It!
Prophecy Was The Mode God Used To Announce His Intentions( piece by piece it comes together until fulfillment )
This Is To Allow Men An Insight Into God’s Thinking!
Very Rarely was a major change or move w/o some warning from God…
John 15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servantknoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
O.T. men prophesied w/o full understanding.
I Peter 1:10-13 Of which salvation the prophets have inquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace [that should come] unto you: Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into. Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
John The Baptist Prepared The Way Of Jesus — who in turn was the forerunner of the spirit age!
John 7:39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet [given]; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
Day of Pentecost was the fulfillment of the Prophet Joel…
Acts 2:16-17 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
Look At O.T. Examples:
Joel 2:28-29 And it shall come to pass afterward, [that] I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall seevisions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
Key Point: All Flesh! (women, young, old, all races and colors )
H.G. is an equal opportunity indweller!
Notice: connotation to dreams and visions, then onto End Time Events!
— The Spirit age would last all the way to the end!
In O.T. = circumcision allowed males to come under the covenant. Then
a whole host of rules, obligations; rituals were obliged…
Peter Referred To This In Acts – When Discussing The Law
Acts 15:10 Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
Ezekiel Prophesied the Day was coming when you could please God simpler!
Ezekiel 36:26-27 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do [them].
***** Be Careful Here! == H.G. Did Not Usher In Lawlessness, but rather the laws would be in hearts because of a relationship!
Jeremiah 31:33 But this [shall be] the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
This Would In Turn Bring A New Ability – “walking in the Spirit”
Romans 8:1 [There is] therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
II Corinthians 3:3 [Forasmuch as ye are] manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
Hebrews 8:7-10 For if that first [covenant] had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. For this [is] the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

Isaiah 28:10-11 For precept [must be] upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, [and] there a little: For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
This Is Where Speaking Of Tongues Was Prophesied!
Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began tospeak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. (ALL FILLED and SPOKE)
Next verse… 28:12 To whom he said, This [is] the rest [wherewith]ye may cause the weary to rest; and this [is] the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
Matthew 11:28 (JESUS) Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and areheavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins maybe blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
The Promise Of Refreshing Rest Is The H.G. Outpouring!

Look at this prophecy of John the Baptist…
Malachi 3:1 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.
Luke 7:27 This is [he], of whom it is written, Behold, I send mymessenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
Jesus Confirmed That Malachi Was Talking Of John!

Notice That Jesus Was Confirmed In John Eyes …. “as the one”
John 1:33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.
Watch this lovely truth unfold!
John 14:15-20 If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; [Even] the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. At that day ye shall know that I [am] in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
John 14:25-27 These things have I spoken unto you, being [yet]present with you. But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it
be afraid.
THIS ALL COMES TOGETHER IN LAST WEEKS LESSON ON THE ONENESS OF GOD!
(The Spirit, would be the spirit of Christ! )
Phillip asked where is the father?
John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou [then], Shew us the Father?
Jesus gave another promise to woman at the well!
John 4:13-14 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
— 4:23-26 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth. The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am [he].

John 7:37-39 In the last day, that great [day] of the feast, Jesusstood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet [given]; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
Jesus promised the spirit would become our teacher and guide! (READ EARLIER).
John 14:26 But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
Jesus Parting Words…
Luke 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
The command was repeated as he was leaving!
Acts 1:4-5 And, being assembled together with [them], commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise ofthe Father, which, [saith he], ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Then The Promise Came! = Acts Chapter 2!
The promise of the H.G. is Biblical, Sound Doctrine!
There Is No Evidence Anywhere That Suggest God Has Changed His Plan!
Acts 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, [even] as many as the Lord our God shall call.
God Has Promised You The H.G. = And God Keeps His Word!
Some Preachers Say It Is Not For Us Today…
Romans 3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar;as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
P.S. Don’t think God will not deal harshly on false preachers that lead people away from truth!
Galatians 1:8-9 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach anyother gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any [man] preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
